HO-HUM.
Ikea has changed their font- from Futura to Verdona. OMG. Let’s panic.
I don’t have much to say, its been a pretty decent day. I read for school, I caught up with Kim. (I miss her so!) I cooked, hung out with Mom, picked out my birthday present (!!!!!) , watched a little tv, and now I’m getting ready for bed while listening to “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!”
I love looking out the kitchen window and seeing this.
I’ve become a vegetarian out of sheer laziness. That and I love black bean burgers. This one is topped with sun dried tomatoes and aged cheddar cheese.
Karla kitty hung out with me today. She loves to climb on top of this shelf and peer down at me. Someday I’m sure she’ll jump down and attack me.
I have a lot of reading to do tomorrow. ek! Heres the book I’m reading now for class. It’s a really interesting book about the different roles Art Museums take on and their interactions with the public. I think most of the topics I’ve read are eye opening, and I’ve never give the consideration to many of their points. Things like how far apart the paintings should be to give each its own space for optimal view, and what exactly the purpose of an art museum is and what role is should play among the public. It compares American museum’s historical and modern day roles to those in Europe. I have a lot of thoughts going on in my brain right now, so far a good start to grad school.

Welcome June.
I wake up tired. I take morning naps right after I wake up. This might be understandable if I went to be at 3 or 4 in the morning instead of midnight. I don’t think this is normal, or okay but I don’t know what to do about it. Continuing to be up exhausts me more, so its an endless cycle of exhaustion.
Single in Church.
My friend Cindy posted this great link that I think many single people will be able to relate to- rather you attend church or not. Ones that caught me nodding my head are 5, 6, 10, 16, and 25.
If this one where to be signally titled it would be something about walls. This morning my covers and pillows formed a wall along the middle.
I love Puddin’s face, its just too cute, all squished and bugged eyed.
Bill is my constant companion, she is always my model.
So when did I become this serious and solemn one?
Laura Gibson.
There are many people who I think have amazing voices, Laura Gibson is one of them. Her quiet and tender voice can soothe anyone. If you are a Colin Meloy, of the Decemberists, fan than you might recognize her from his version of Sam Cooke’s “Cupid”. I am in love with her song “Longest Day”. The sadness I hear in her melody and lyrics are so beautiful that I can’t help but fall in love with them more each time I hear them.
You can download “The Longest Day” it here. Its the Daytrotter version, not the album version.

The Hazards of Love.
I have just gotten my hands on the new album by The Decemberists, and it is amazing. Its is a rock opera telling a story of Margaret, who was also a character in their last album “The Crane Wife”. I love love love the idea of telling stories all through each of the songs in the album and connecting them to other albums or songs. Its it a great way to see a band grow, change, and really evolve.
Caught.
New photo series.
Bed.
its sunny out, so i have nothing more to complain about.

blasé
I wish I felt like I had more to write in here today. I usually I can’t wait to post, and it’s one of the first things I do in the morning. Today it’ll be the last thing I do. It was cloudy all day and supposed to rain. I guess I was just waiting on the rain, and it never came.
I’m reading this book.
I’ll let you know how it is.
