HOT TEA.

I am feeling awful today. I’ve been trying all week and weekend to rest rest rest and get better. Life does go on and usually it needs me to go on with it. I have this intense jaw pains, headaches and I feel like my eye are going to pop out. ughhh. My best friend mom suggested that I might have a sinus infection, and I’m afraid she might be right.

On a happier note I cleaned the kitchen a little. It was beyond disgusting. I  used some bleach cleaner my roommate bought, so now the kitchen smells like a pool.. that a kid threw up next to, and the staff had to pour gallons of bleach on the sideway to kill everything. I’m hoping that it kills on the germs in my kitchen. Even though I’m sick I feel better when my house is clean. That and my mother is coming to stay with me on friday.

Oh goodness. My Mother is coming friday. FRIDAY. ugh.

Ikea has changed their font- from Futura to Verdona. OMG.  Let’s panic.

I don’t have much to say, its been a pretty decent day. I read for school,  I caught up with Kim. (I miss her so!) I cooked, hung out with Mom, picked out my birthday present (!!!!!) , watched a little tv, and now I’m getting ready for bed while listening to “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!”

I love looking out the kitchen window and seeing this.

I’ve become a vegetarian out of sheer laziness. That and I love black bean burgers. This one is topped with sun dried tomatoes and aged cheddar cheese.

Karla kitty hung out with me today. She loves to climb on top of this shelf and peer down at me. Someday I’m sure she’ll jump down and attack me.

I have a lot of reading to do tomorrow. ek! Heres the book I’m reading now for class. It’s a really interesting book about the different roles Art Museums take on and their interactions with the public. I think most of the topics I’ve read are eye opening, and I’ve never give the consideration to many of their points. Things like how far apart the paintings should be to give each its own space for optimal view, and what exactly the purpose of an art museum is and what role is should play among the public. It compares American museum’s historical and modern day roles to those in Europe. I have a lot of thoughts going on in my brain right now, so far a good start to grad school.

I’m not so good at this.

BUT, I will give it all I’ve got.  

Last week I was in Kansas helping my Parents and Grandparents on their farm. It was great to be with family and in Kansas. It’s kind of my home away from home. The great part was seeing 5 little bitty barn kitties! Here are a few mobile pictures from the trip.

I’ve recently discovered the amazingness of a mobile phone camera. All during this trip it has allowed me to capture pictures that a normal camera might have been obtrusive. Since recently I’ve become a texting fiend- more so when I am away from Justin. When I have my phone out people don’t know I’m taking their picture.

I know that these may all be poor quality but all I’ve every wanted to do with my photography is portray people and life as it is. I’ve learned that the best way to do this is with out them knowing. I admire all the people who’ve mad this their life’s work and succeeded in this. 

 

On a happier note- Justin got his little kitty baby this past Friday. As I was driving up to see him we were texting back and forth and he said he wouldn’t be able to take her home with him for another week.  I got to his house before him and hung out, when I heard him come home he was carrying a little Scrambles Baby!!

I’ve been working together with my Mom to plan the food for her upcoming Women’s Ministries brunch. I’ll be making the quiches for it! I’ve very excited, I’ve been trying out recipes and different crusts. I like compare recipes and talk foodie things. Makes me happy!  I do love to cook, and try new things.  

I’ve pretty happy lately. I was accepted to the GMU Master’s program I applied for! I’m very happy about this and I can’t wait to start in the fall! I would like to be more challenged spiritually in my life, I’m working on that. It’s been a rainy day and I have perfect teeth. I need to floss more so when I do go to the dentist they wont kill my gums!  They’re just now slightly less sore.
