all we ever did was smile.

my hip hurts, i’m grumpy, i feel forgotten.

next weekend I’ll be getting ready for my birthday party. All I want this year for my birthday is my best friends around a campfire at Beth’s family house- just like old times. I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to get my wish.

Last year everything was different. Last year I didn’t do anything for my birthday. I cooked dinner and that was it. Last year everything was different.

the past two days

so.. I made carmel apples. And then I hung out with my best friend Lauren. I also made jalapeño cornbread and some black bean soup.

Be The Tree

This weekend is turning out to be amazing- all my favorite people have decided to come into town! I am so happy! Also I had a chance to help out  Lauren with her new project. She’s illustrating a book and needed images of a little girl to draw from. The story is about a little girl tree who is sad because she doesn’t know what she’ll be when she grows up.

With the help of our friend Beth’s little sister Hope (who is a fantastic model, so easy to shot) we go the job done. It was really fun and I enjoyed having a reason to shot again. You can see the images here.

And it’s all too much hindsight

If it looks like a duck, talks like a duck, and acts like duck that probably means you are in a relationship. I know I see things my way, and you seem them yours, but what happens when a collective whole sees them one way too. Who’s right? If all your friends think a guy is a huge (insert your choice word here) does it make him that? Are you just over looking things and fooling yourself?

Hindsight is always 20/20, but what about foresight?
